Nepal's (Himalayan) Earth Quake News:
Nepal Earth Quake: Death toll passes 3,600 as nation struggles with Severe devastation
The Himalayan earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday which is on Apr/25th/2015 flattened many of the civilian homes and country’s historic architectural sites.
Most of the UNESCO World Heritage sites were severely damaged, as were many temples and palaces made of wood and unmortared brick.
You can watch the most heart breaking images of the present NEPAL which has been severely devastated by the Himalayan earth quake. It's horrible, miserable this earth quake has left to the country. This sort of disaster hasn't happened the country's 80 years of history. More than 300 civilians were killed in this Himalayan earth quake disaster. It's truly hard to believe that world's one and only pure 100% Hindu country(Nepal) is under this kind of heart breaking circumstances. It's hard to write these few words about Nepal disaster now.
This Nepal Earth quake not only killed Nepalese but also affected its neighboring countries like India, Bangladesh and China too. Few people in India lost their lives. 3 Chinese people died when they are at the China-Nepal border.
Dharahara Tower, Katmandu: A nine-story structure built in 1832 on orders from the queen. It was made of bricks more than a foot thick, and had recently been reopened to the public. Sightseers could
climb a narrow spiral staircase to a viewing platform about 200 feet above the city.
After the Nepal Disaster:
Dozens of bodies were pulled out of Dharahara, the historic nine-story tower that crashed down during the quake.
A backhoe chipped away at the nub left protruding through its crumbled ruins.
When it seemed as if things couldn't get worse, a powerful aftershock jolted Nepal on Sunday, sending people screaming into the streets and causing new injuries for already traumatized residents. Climbers said it set off fresh avalanches on Mount Everest, where at least 17 people were reported to have been killed on Saturday.
The magnitude of the new quake Sunday was initially estimated at 6.8 by the U.S. Geological Survey, considerably weaker than the magnitude-7.8 of the devastating one of a day earlier.
